Flow Galgo
Chile's Urban
Underground
Francisco Cortez Bustamante — known as Flow Galgo — is one of Chile's most dedicated and authentic urban artists. A producer turned performer, a decade in the making, and now collaborating with La Familia Smile on a music video that pushed the boundaries of what Chilean urban visuals can look like.
Flow Galgo's journey in music is the story of someone who never took a shortcut. Originally from Copiapó and raised in San Miguel, Santiago, he spent years building his craft from the ground up — first as a producer under the name "Yerbeats" in La Turba Records, developing an ear for sound and a technical foundation that would later define his solo work.
His solo debut Ámbar in 2021 introduced the world to Flow Galgo as a fully formed artist — a voice rooted in the streets of Santiago, a sound that blended reggaeton with the raw energy of the Chilean urban scene, and a vision for what his music could become. His follow-up Vaginess & Business pushed that vision further, with tracks like "100X10" showing an artist who is constantly evolving.
Built From the Ground Up
What sets Flow Galgo apart from many of his contemporaries is the depth of his musical background. Before stepping in front of the microphone as a solo artist, he spent years behind the scenes as a producer — understanding rhythm, arrangement, and sound design at a level that most performers never reach. That foundation is audible in everything he makes.
His collaborations with international reggaeton figures — including Puerto Rican artists Polakan, Rakim from the legendary duo Rakim & Ken-y, Mackie, and DJ Playero — reflect a career built on genuine relationships with the genre's most respected names. These are not random features. They are the result of years of work, consistency, and a commitment to quality that the right people always notice.
"Flow Galgo represents exactly the kind of artist La Familia Smile was built to support — authentic, hardworking, and creating something genuinely their own. The Énfasis collaboration was one of the most creatively exciting projects we have been part of."
La Familia Smile x Flow Galgo — Énfasis
La Familia Smile collaborated with Flow Galgo on the visual production of his music video "Énfasis" — and this one was different. Rather than a standard shoot, the brief called for something psychedelic, immersive, and visually unlike anything in the Chilean urban scene. The answer was VFX — visual effects that transformed the footage into a trip through colour, texture, and energy that matched the track's intensity beat for beat.
Every effect was built frame by frame, layered with intention, and designed to amplify the music rather than distract from it. The result is a video that feels alive — shifting, breathing, and pulling the viewer deeper into Flow Galgo's world with every second.

Behind the Desk — The VFX Breakdown
This is how it was built. La Familia Smile's "Behind the Desk" series goes inside the creative process — showing the work, the decisions, and the craft that goes into every visual collaboration. For "Énfasis", that means a full breakdown of how the psychedelic VFX were constructed, layered, and brought to life.
